Open Water Class

Our open water class is the first step toward your diving certification.  Our class is 32 to 40 hours of hands on training. We also offer an  E learning course to accommodate those students that cannot attend the traditional classroom sesion.

Our individual hands on approach consistently turns out better prepared and more confident divers.

Our instructors are held to the highest professional standards. Our classes are centered on you. Scheduling is flexible and you and your classmates adjust the schedule to fit your needs.

Nitrox is a mixture of oxygen and nitrogen, in fact you are breathing a mixture of nitrox right now.  Enriched air nitrox (EANx) is an air mixture that contains greater than 21% oxygen.  Diving with EANx allows divers to have more time underwater without the need for decompression.

The course will teach you the rules and limitations of diving with EANx.  There is no set schedule for this course.

Rescue Diver DRAM

This program is about avoiding, recognizing and solving problems on the surface and underwater.  The Dive Rescue and Accident Management program will teach you how to recognize signs of stress in yourself and others.  This course teaches you self-rescue skills and  skills for helping others.  

Current CPR / First Aid certification is required for this course before the DRAM Certification can be issued.

Specialty Classes

Continue your SCUBA education with SEI’s and PDIC’s wide range of Specialty Courses.  Specialty courses include; Night Diving, Wreck Diving, Nitrox, Underwater Photography, Underwater Hunter, Navigation, Deep Diving, and Rescue (DRAM) to name just a few.  

Specialty courses provide additional training to better prepare yourself for exploration of the underwater world and the individual specialties allow you to customize your continuing SCUBA education.

Taking specialties and continuing your dive education allows you to earn higher levels of diver ratings.

Instructor Development Course (IDC)

This is a course designed to cross you over to SEI and PDIC.  If you are a Dive master, Instructor, or assistant instructor, this course will teach you the Standards and procedures of SEI.

All candidates will need to be in good standing with their prospective agency and actively already teaching.  This course is a development course, not a course on learning how to teach.  It’s our philosophy that if you already have attained teaching status and are actively certifying students then you already have been properly taught the art of teaching scuba.

The course has no set time limits.  Generally, it can take as little as 2 days to two weeks.  We offer a regular internship for students who do not meet the crossover criteria or do not have teaching experience.  There is classroom and pool work associated with this course.  During the course you will be teaching classroom as well as pool lessons.

The PDIC SEI Divemaster Course is designed to train qualified Rescue Divers in how to control, manage and supervise groups of divers.

This course provides extensive development of ones diving skills, stamina and theoretical diving knowledge. There are also extensive written exams covering the areas of physics, physiology, equipment, dive management, supervision, skills & environment, and dive tables.

Upon successful completion of the course, the student is certified as a PDIC SEI Divemaster and qualifies for PDIC SEI certification and the prerequisite to the Instructor Development Course (IDC).

Rick tech diving
Master Scuba Diver

The Master Scuba Diver rating places you in an elite group of respected divers who have earned this rating through experience and scuba training. Fewer that 3% of divers achieve this rating. When you have this certification people know that you've spent time underwater in a variety of environments.

Instructor Internship

This course is an internship designed to teach you the necessary skills and knowledge to become a certified scuba instructor.  In this internship you will learn stress management, public speaking, equipment repair and service, accident management, student management, and above all How to Teach effectively.

There is no time or course length for this study program.

We recognize that every student is different and some have acquired more skills than others, so the internship will be determined on a case by case basis as determined by you and your instructor.

Advanced Open Water

The Advanced Open Water course is your next step on your scuba journey. In Open Water you learned the basics of how to scuba dive. In Advanced you are enhancing your skills and learning how to act and think like a diver. As an advanced open water diver you will learn deep diving, night diving, and navigation to name a few.

Public Safety Diver

The Public Safety Diver Program is your first step into this distinctive specialty for the few but elite. This course is now open to civilians and provides the foundation into public safety diving.If you have an opportunity to work with the local authorities and be part of a scuba diving rescue team, or conduct search and recovery, or maybe even criminal investigations. Although, public safety diving can be a fun and exciting adventure, its serous and requires special training.
